In Krystallopigi Paramythias in a green landscape is the Duma Watermill. It owes its operation to the famous springs of the place which are the cause of development and progress not only of the village but also of the wider area.
HISTORY: The first Watermill was built in 1712 by an Italian family which was enchanted by the idyllic landscape, the spring waters and the rich vegetation. It was for hundreds of years a grain processing center,
tobacco processing and rice husking making the watermill an important shopping center. Then it came into the possession of Turkish Ottoman conquerors, then to the Greek state and today it is the property of the Duma family after an auction.

The Watermill owes its current form to the truly remarkable effort of the Duma family which with a lot of love, passion and especially respect for traditional architecture leaves a wonderful work for future generations. It is a rural complex consisting of watermill, water mills, house, restaurant , hostel and warehouses.
